There is a shit ton of bad writing on Medium. I think about 2 things that can prevent the worst of the worst from being published here:

1. Setting a standard of only allowing articles that are free from basic grammar errors. And it doesn't have to be 100%, but maybe 90% or something? Perhaps they can implement grammarly or something that makes it so it's impossible to publish an article that is riddled with basic grammar mistakes.

2. Disallow articles that are about Medium. Or maybe limit one per month per author. I don't think these are bad in and of themselves, but there are far too many of them.

I'm just thinking aloud but there are endless ways to substantially improve the reading experience on this platform and, at the moment, anything that has to do with design isn't one of them so I hope they stop focusing on that.
