I agree with most of this but disagree with the final fact. My thoughts follow.

Myth 2: When I was running back in 2010 I used to think I had to stretch before running. I’m so glad I know better now. I warm-up for a minimum of 5 minutes with lunges, squats, high knees, etc. and then I walk fiercely and/or jog lightly before I begin my run. I get my heart rate up to 100 bpm before I allow myself to run.

Fact 1: Running either boosts my negative mood or strengthens my positive mood every single time. Any form of movement can do this but running has been my main method for the past year.

Fact #5: Where does this “fact” come from? I’ve been running, playing basketball, walking, and playing golf in the same shoes since April 2018 and have suffered no injuries. They aren’t even technically running shoes but rather cross-trainers. I’ve been running at least one mile daily since July 2019 for a total of 646 miles. I’m likely closing in on if I haven’t yet surpassed a total of 1000 miles over the past 2 years from running and playing basketball. I’ve yet to get injured. I’ll be getting proper running shoes soon but there are no signs telling me that I need to replace them yet.
